What a Epomaker
sounds like.

Each button plays a short phrase typed on that switch family, so you are comparing rhythm rather than a single tap. Play two in a row — that is where the difference actually shows up.

These are recordings of the switch family, not of this exact keyboard. That is the honest way to do it — the family is what dominates the sound, and switch options move between model years and regions. Check the listing before buying on the strength of a match here.

Что вы слышите

How it
звучит на самом деле.

Epomaker's whole positioning is sound-first, and the boards are specified accordingly: gasket or spring-mounted depending on model, foam between every layer, factory-lubed switches, and PBT keycaps. The result is a full, low, slightly damped sound that lands close to what most people mean when they say thock.

The linear versions are the ones to hear. They come out rounded and heavy with very little ring, and on a good day a TH80 is hard to distinguish from boards costing three times as much. The tactile versions add a bump that cuts through the damping and gives the sound more definition at the cost of some of that smoothness.

As with most brands at this price the variance between models and revisions is real, and Epomaker refreshes its lineup constantly. The construction philosophy is consistent even when the specific model is not.

Foam-filled cases across the range, with gasket mounting on most recent models, factory-lubed switches, and PBT keycaps as standard. Everything is hot-swappable with standard MX spacing, and the boards are usually sold with a choice of Epomaker's own switches or rebadged Gateron equivalents. Wireless and tri-mode connectivity are common across the lineup.

Which one to pick

Choosing
the switch.

The linear is the choice that plays to the construction — all that foam and lubing exists to make a smooth switch sound full rather than thin. Pick the tactile if you want to feel the keystroke and are willing to trade a little of the smoothness for it.

Хорошие вопросы

Epomaker
вопросы.

Are Epomaker keyboards good?

For sound at the price, yes — foam, gasket mounting, lubed switches, and PBT keycaps are all included rather than upsold. The weaker areas are software and long-term support, which are noticeably behind Keychron, and quality control that varies more between batches than an established brand's would.

Does the Epomaker TH80 need modding?

Rarely. It ships with the foam stack, the lubed switches, and the PBT keycaps already in place, which covers the modifications people normally make to a budget board. Lubricating the stabilisers is the one thing still worth doing, and that is true of almost every keyboard under $150.

What does an Epomaker keyboard sound like compared to a Keychron?

Fuller and more damped than a plastic K-series Keychron, and broadly comparable to a Keychron V-series, since both are gasket-mounted and foamed. A Keychron Q-series still goes lower thanks to its machined aluminium case and mass. Epomaker's advantage is that it ships the tuning at a lower price; Keychron's is firmware and support.
