Privacy Policy
Plain language about what TypeLouder does—and, more importantly, what it never does.
This Privacy Policy describes how your information is handled in the TypeLouder app and on this website. The two are separate, and the app is the stricter of the two.
The App Collects No Personal Information #
We do not collect, use, save, or have access to any of your personal data.
TypeLouder does not access, read, or monitor your keystrokes. Your typing data is never captured, stored, or transmitted by our app.
TypeLouder does not require network permissions. The app operates entirely offline and has no capability to send any data outside of your device. Nothing you do in the app is ever transmitted over the internet.
This Website Uses Analytics #
This website — separately from the app — uses Google Analytics to measure basic traffic, such as which pages are visited, roughly which country visitors arrive from, and what kind of device they use. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data including your IP address on Google's servers.
We also measure clicks on links to the Mac App Store, including which page and button were used. Apple may attribute downloads to our website campaign link in App Store Connect.
This applies only to the website. It tells us nothing about how you use the app, and the app itself still sends nothing anywhere.
If you would rather not be measured, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on or use any browser content blocker.
The keyboard sound test on this site plays audio entirely in your browser. Which keys you press there are never recorded or sent anywhere.
