What a Keychron V-series
sounds like.

Each button plays a short phrase typed on that switch family, so you are comparing rhythm rather than a single tap. Play two in a row — that is where the difference actually shows up.

These are recordings of the switch family, not of this exact keyboard. That is the honest way to do it — the family is what dominates the sound, and switch options move between model years and regions. Check the listing before buying on the strength of a match here.

지금 듣고 있는 것

How it
실제로 내는 소리.

The V-series is the interesting one, because it separates two things people usually conflate — the mounting style and the case material. It keeps the Q1's gasket mount and foam stack but puts them in a plastic shell, and the result lands much closer to the aluminium Q1 than to the tray-mounted plastic K2.

What you get is a full, reasonably low sound with none of the K-series hollowness. Against a real Q1 it is a little lighter and a little more plasticky in the upper mids — the aluminium case and the extra kilo of mass do genuinely lower the sound — but the gap is far smaller than the price gap.

For anyone who read that a gasket mount is what makes modern keyboards sound good and wants to test that claim cheaply, this is the board to do it on.

The build
작동 원리.

A plastic case with a gasket mount and a foam stack, sold in several layouts — V1 at 75%, V3 at 60%, V6 at full size, among others. Structurally it is the Q-series recipe with the machined aluminium swapped for injection-moulded plastic, which is where almost all of the cost difference comes from. Doubleshot PBT keycaps and screw-in stabilisers carry over, and the whole range runs QMK and VIA.

Which one to pick

Choosing
the switch.

As with the Q1, the case is doing enough work that both switch options come out fuller than they would on a cheaper board. The linear is the one to pick if you are here for the low clack; the tactile trades a little of that for feedback you can feel.

좋은 질문들

Keychron V-series
관련 질문.

Is the Keychron V-series as good as the Q-series on sound?

Close, and much closer than the price suggests. Both are gasket-mounted with foam, which is where most of the sound comes from. The Q-series adds a machined aluminium case and roughly 1.5 kg of mass, which lowers the pitch further and kills the last of the plastic character. If sound is the reason you are choosing, the V-series is the better value and the Q-series is the better keyboard.

What is the difference between the Keychron V1 and K2?

They are similar sizes and similar prices, and they are built completely differently. The K2 is tray-mounted with a largely empty case; the V1 is gasket-mounted with foam. That makes the V1 noticeably fuller and removes the hollow ring the K2 is known for. If you are choosing between them purely on sound, the V1 wins clearly.

Does the Keychron V-series work with a Mac?

Yes. It ships with both Mac and Windows keycaps, has a physical switch for the two modes, and runs VIA, so anything you do not like can be remapped from the browser. It is not marketed as heavily at Mac users as the K-series, but the layout support is the same.
