What a ROG Strix Scope
sounds like.

Each button plays a short phrase typed on that switch family, so you are comparing rhythm rather than a single tap. Play two in a row — that is where the difference actually shows up.

These are recordings of the switch family, not of this exact keyboard. That is the honest way to do it — the family is what dominates the sound, and switch options move between model years and regions. Check the listing before buying on the strength of a match here.

지금 듣고 있는 것

How it
실제로 내는 소리.

The Strix Scope is a conventional gaming board, but ASUS has taken the damping more seriously than most of its competitors — recent versions ship with foam layers and dampening pads rather than an empty case behind an exposed plate.

The result is a sound that sits between the bright ring of a HyperX Alloy Origins and the full clack of an Azoth. The ROG NX linear switches are pre-lubed on newer models and come out reasonably smooth; the tactile version adds a defined bump without much extra harshness.

It is not a board anyone buys for how it sounds, which makes it a useful data point: even in the part of the market where acoustics are an afterthought, a couple of foam layers move the result a long way.

ROG NX mechanical switches, pre-lubed on newer versions, in a case with internal foam and dampening pads — more than the exposed-plate norm for the category, less than the Azoth's three-layer stack. Hot-swap sockets on some models. PBT keycaps on recent revisions.

Which one to pick

Choosing
the switch.

The linear is the more common choice and the one the damping flatters most. The tactile gives you a bump to aim at without the sound getting sharp, which the case damping helps with.

좋은 질문들

ROG Strix Scope
관련 질문.

What are ROG NX switches?

ASUS's own mechanical switches, made in-house and following the usual family conventions — linear, tactile, and clicky variants under names like Red, Brown, and Blue. Newer versions ship pre-lubed from the factory, which removes most of the scratchiness and is unusual for a gaming brand's own-label switch.

Is the Strix Scope quieter than other gaming keyboards?

Somewhat, thanks to internal foam that most of its direct competitors skip. It is nowhere near as damped as the Azoth, but against an exposed-plate board like a HyperX Alloy Origins or a Corsair K70 Pro it is noticeably less bright and has far less plate ring.

Should I buy the Strix Scope or the Azoth?

The Azoth if sound is a real priority — gasket mounting and a three-layer foam stack put it in a different class. The Strix Scope if you want a straightforward wired gaming keyboard and would rather not pay for an OLED and wireless. The Strix Scope is the better value; the Azoth is the better keyboard to listen to.
