What a SteelSeries Apex Pro
sounds like.
Each button plays a short phrase typed on that switch family, so you are comparing rhythm rather than a single tap. Play two in a row — that is where the difference actually shows up.
These are recordings of the switch family, not of this exact keyboard. That is the honest way to do it — the family is what dominates the sound, and switch options move between model years and regions. Check the listing before buying on the strength of a match here.

实际听起来是什么样。
OmniPoint switches are magnetic — Hall-effect sensors reading a magnet in the stem — so there is no click, no bump, and no contact leaf. That gives the Apex Pro the even, attack-free character every magnetic board has.
What distinguishes it is the case. SteelSeries builds the Gen 3 with multiple layers of internal dampening, which is unusual in a category that mostly still ships exposed aluminium plates. The result is fuller and lower than most gaming boards, closer to a damped office keyboard than to a K70 Pro.
Combined with actuation you can set as shallow as you like, this ends up being one of the quieter high-end gaming keyboards in normal use, which is not what its marketing would lead you to expect.

OmniPoint 3.0 HyperMagnetic switches with Hall-effect sensing and per-key adjustable actuation, in a case with multiple layers of internal sound dampening. The switches also support rapid trigger and dual bindings, where one key does different things at different depths. Aluminium construction with an OLED display on the premium models.

值得一问的问题
SteelSeries Apex Pro
常见问题。
Is the SteelSeries Apex Pro loud?
Less than most gaming keyboards, and the case is why. Multiple internal damping layers is not standard in this category, and combined with magnetic switches — which have no click or tactile mechanism to make noise — it produces a fuller, lower sound than the exposed-plate boards it competes with. Set the actuation shallow and it is quieter still.
What does adjustable actuation do to the sound?
Indirectly, quite a lot. Setting a shallow actuation point means a key registers early, and players who trust that stop pushing all the way down. A key that never bottoms out makes far less noise. Set the actuation deep and type normally and the board sounds exactly as it would with a fixed actuation point.
Can I change the switches in an Apex Pro?
Not for mechanical ones — the board reads magnets rather than electrical contacts, so it only works with OmniPoint switches. Recent models are hot-swappable within that magnetic ecosystem, which lets you change weighting but not switch family, since every magnetic switch is a linear.
